I want to make a formal Service Complaint

There are two ways for you to make a Service Complaint.

You can:

  1. Submit a written complaint to your Service Secretariat Central Admissibility Team (CAT). See Useful Links and Contacts for details on contacting your Service's CAT.
  2. Ask the Ombudsman to refer your intention to make a Service Complaint to your Service Secretariat Central Admissibility Team (CAT).

The Ombudsman cannot investigate your Service Complaint at this stage. It must go through the relevant Service's internal complaints process first.

Your complaint might have to go through a separate process to check its eligibility (see Special-to-type matters for more information).

This will depend on what you want to make a complaint about, and your Service Secretariat Central Admissibility Team (CAT) will let you know if this applies.
