As of 30 July 2021 there were 27 unallocated substance and maladministration cases. This is the same as last month but they are not all the same cases. Some cases have been allocated and we have received new applications for investigation. It is taking us 7 months to allocate a case to an investigator. A new Senior Investigator joins us on 2 August and 2 further Senior Investigators will be joining at the beginning of September to help reduce these delays.

There are no delays in processing applications for referral, admissibility reviews or undue delay applications.

We do not currently have access to our building due to an office relocation so please do not send us anything by post. Our Enquiries and Referrals team can be contacted by email at contact@scoaf.org.uk and are able to answer questions about the process. Alternatively you can leave a message on our new contact number 0300 369 0689, and one of the team will call you back.
