Despite a variety of casework, stakeholder meetings and training sessions, conducting outreach visits remains the highlight of the Ombudsman's diary.
The second destination of our 2023 Outreach Programme, we had the pleasure of making an official visit to Catterick Garrison.
A full day's visit, we got to meet personnel from the Light Dragoons, 4th Infantry Brigade and the Personnel Recovery Unit.
The focus of the day however was the focus groups we held with personnel. These sessions are critical to researching our Annual Report as we use personnel testimony of their experiences with the Service Complaints system to drive reform.
